How it works
A simple path from curious to informed
Every part of this experience follows the same order, so nothing arrives before you have agreed to it.
- Step 1
Permission
Before any question about household, income, or responsibilities, we ask whether it is okay to go there. If you decline, the experience switches to general education only.
- Step 2
Discovery
You describe your household in your own numbers and words. Ranges are accepted everywhere, and you can skip anything.
- Step 3
Clarification
Your answers are reflected back with every assumption spelled out — support horizon, what was counted, and what was left at zero.
- Step 4
Scenario
You see both a protection scenario and a no-protection scenario, described in calm, practical language and possibilities rather than promises.
- Step 5
Choice
You decide what happens next. Waiting, comparing, talking to a spouse, or asking not to be contacted are all recorded as valid outcomes.
- Step 6
Next step
If you want a conversation, you request one. A licensed professional reviews your summary before anything product-specific is discussed.
Words that are often blurred, kept separate
- Education
- General information about how protection works. That is what this site provides.
- Preliminary needs estimate
- An illustrative range built from your own inputs. Not a price.
- Illustration and quote
- Carrier-specific figures a licensed professional can prepare later.
- Application
- A formal request for coverage that you sign.
- Underwriting
- The carrier's review of whether, and on what terms, it will issue a policy.
- Delivered and in force
- Coverage exists only after the carrier issues and places the policy, per its own requirements.
Finishing the review, receiving an estimate, submitting an application, or paying an initial amount never means coverage is active. Coverage status comes only from the carrier and your licensed professional.
